Voting is an essential way to flex our power. TODEC mobilizes our neighbors to vote every opportunity we have to stand up and be heard at the polls.

Are you 16 or 17 and excited to become a voter? You can pre-register to vote in California if you:

• A United States citizen and a resident of California,
• Not currently in state or federal prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony (for more information please see the Secretary of State’s Voting Rights: Persons with a Criminal History), and
• Not currently found mentally incompetent to vote by a court (for more information, please see Voting Rights: Persons Subject to Conservatorship)
• When you turn 18 years old, the county elections office will mail a confirmation postcard to you stating that your voter registration is now active.
