In May 2018, TODEC’s Youth Groups wanted to find ways to support to kids that had been separated from their families at the border.  Many TODEC youth share the experiences of migrating from Central America, navigating being an undocumented American, and spending time in immigration detention. Until all children are reunited with their families, our youth are dedicated to raising awareness and generating support for these courageous migrants.

Our youth created #LettersofLove to send letters of support to migrant children being detained by the federal government. To date we have received over 10,000 letters from good hearted people from all over the United States and from as far away as Spain. We’ve delivered these Letters of Love to Detention Centers in San Ysidro, California, Arizona and Brownsville, Texas.
